0Massive Spaceships battle it out in Dreadnought pre-alpha commented gameplay video
Here’s a five-minute gameplay video of Yager and Grey Box’s free-to-play aerial armada action title, accompanied by some very insightful developer commentary as to what Dreadnought is all about.
In this video Game Director Peter Holzapfel and Game Designer Eino Joas showcase a 5v5 Team Deathmatch, in which players can choose massive spaceships with customisable weapons and abilities and battle it out. Weapons such as plasma cannons, particle repeaters and heavy mortars are used to good effect, while the shield can be activated briefly to protect from incoming fire.
The ship also has a repair beam to aid team mates; classes shown include the assault-oriented Archon Destroyer, the support-based Corvette Tactical Cruiser and the heavy Thanatos, which can take quite a beating. Dreadnought launches on the PC sometime in 2015.
