Leliana and Dorian emerge in Redcliffe Castle in Part 2 of Dragon Age: Inquisition E3 Gameplay Demo

EA and BioWare’s action RPG graces us with fresh gameplay footage, as we get to see the second part of the E3 closed demo for Dragon Age: Inquisition; you can watch the first 16 or so minutes right here. Narrated by creative director Mike Laidlaw, this portion of the video takes place in Redcliffe Castle and begins with the Inquisitor – a female Qunari mage – and her companions, including Dorian – a magister of the Tevinter Imperium, free Leliana who was caught and tortured when infiltrating the castle.

Laidlaw talks about how our action influence characters reaction to us, as the decision of sending Leliana into the castle (which led to her capture) is something which is likely to affect her attitude to the main character. He also expands a bit more on tactical gameplay, and shows one can utilise the system to strategically herd enemies down a chokepoint where Iron Bull waits for them with this two-handed weapon of doom, while the other characters rain down ranged damage. The clip ends after a boss battle with a powerful enemy mage, with enemies storming the area and ostensibly surrounding our party of heroes.
