Just Cause 3 confirmed for PC, Xbox One and PS4; release expected in 2015

It has been just a week since leaked screenshots of a build of Just Cause 3 emerged on the internet, and now Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have confirmed that the title is in development and will launch on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2015.

While not many details have been unveiled, according to the Steam page the game will be an open-world action adventure similar to the previous games in the series, and takes place in the Mediterranean republic of Medici under the control of the despotic General Di Ravello. The main character Rico Rodriguez will once again have tools like a Grapple and Parachute (both with upgrades) to utilise, as well as an all-new Wingsuit. Players can hijack vehicles, scale buildings, tether objects together, access an array of weapons including shotguns and missile launchers, and also call in tank-busters and air-strikes.

Of course, there are also several vehicles to traverse the vast open world; sports cards, super bikes, speedboats, jets and helicopters are but some of them. Debunking rumours, the developers have said that the title is not a free-to-play and will not feature in-game micro transactions.
