Investigate your untimely demise in these Murdered: Soul Suspect screenshots

Next up we have a handful of screenshots from Square Enix’s multiplatform action-adventure game Murdered: Soul Suspect, which revolves around the killing of detective Ronan O’Connor by an unknown assailant. It differs from other titles in the genre by the simple fact that players will assume the role of the deceased, who – though constrained in his ethereal form – uses his new abilities to investigate his murder. O’Connor will interact with other ghosts, read the minds of the living and battle hostile spirits while attempting to resolve the mystery and ascertain the identity of his assailant.

Players can also walk through walls of a building, or at least were able to do so in in the apartment complex shown in a recent gameplay demo. Watch the debut trailer here to know more about the game, which arrives in 2014 on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
