0Homeworld Remastered Collection trailer, screenshots, release details
Gearbox Software has announced that the Homeworld Remastered Collection will arrive on the PC on 25 February, and has posted a handful of images and a short trailer for the space strategy collection.
While priced at $34.99, the collection, which also includes the original versions of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 with compatibility updates, can be acquired via Steam for £22.94/$29.74 due to a 15% pre-order discount. The trailer and images highlight the significant visual improvements, though high-resolution textures and models are not the only new addition; the collection also boasts high fidelity voice recordings by the original actors and a fully remastered score.
Furthermore, those who purchase Homeworld Remastered Collection will also gain access to the Homeworld Remastered Steam multiplayer Beta, which will be available once the game launches. Additionally, Gearbox is joining up with Blackbird Interactive to make Homeworld Shipbreakers, a prequel to the first Homeworld game, also for the PC.
