0Hitman Collector’s Edition revealed, episodic release announced
Io-Interactive has announced that Hitman will be released episodically from 11 March for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. A Collector’s Edition for the third-person stealth-action title has also been unveiled.
The initial launch content will feature the Prologue and the Paris location, following by the Italy location in April and Morocco in May. Players can subsequently expect regular monthly content updates, including Thailand, the US and Japan locations with the season concluding later this year, but with intermittent weekly events and other content likely in between.
The Intro Pack is priced at $15 with all following locations as an add-on costing $10; the entire game can be bought for $60. A physical release of Hitman is also planned for the end of this year. Additionally, PS4 users will receive The Sarajevo Six, consisting of exclusive bonus contracts wherein the bald-headed assassin must hunt six former members of the CICADA paramilitary unit. As for the planned Beta, it commences on 12 February for the PS4 and on 19 the same month for the PC.
Finally, the Collector’s Edition pictured above will cost a pretty penny at $139.99/€139.99/£109.99, and will launch on 11 March for all three platforms. It consists of the full game (digital download), an Agent 47 “Chessmaster” Statue, a 60-page hardcover art book, the Agent 47 Iconic red tie and logo-emblazoned clip set and the Premium Collector’s Edition box. Acquiring this edition will also secure you access to the upcoming Beta.
