0High-Resolution Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag PC screenshots illustrate Nvidia enhancements
You may have already seen the GeForce GTX Tech Video recently released by Nvidia showcasing PC features in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag specific to the cardmaker; now we have several high-res screenshots ranging from 1920×1080 to 3840×2160 resolutions taken at maximum settings, focusing on the very same. First off, HBAO+ allows for more realistic Ambient Occlusion, which basically means one can expect better shadowing and shading around objects; Percentage-Closer Soft Shadows (PCSS) enhances the quality of soft shadows; TXAA temporal anti-aliasing significantly minimises those jagged edges and associated artifacts at a lower performance cost; High-precision light rays provides for better environmental lighting, and of course, one can expect high-res textures and assets for the PC version.
