Heavenly Sword Movie gets a trailer showing why Nariko is a Badass

If you are one of those who relished Ninja Theory’s hack ‘n’ slasher released exclusively for the PS3 back in September 2007, then this video should fill you with joy. The clip, made available thanks to IGN, is for the upcoming CG movie of Heavenly Sword and features female protagonist Nariko as a red-haired warrior wielding a sword to bring world peace. Of course, this means that she will have to slice her way through various enemies

The main character is voiced by none other than Anna Torv; yes, she who plays the role of kickass FBI agent in the scifi TV series Fringe. The cast also includes Thomas Jane who starred as the titular hero in The Punisher (2004 version), as well as British actor Alfred Molina who has appeared in hot films like Spider-Man 2, The Da Vinci Code, Chocolat and Frida. The animated movie is expected to arrive in Spring (around June) this year, and if you can ignore the sub-par animations and visuals in the latest trailer then this might just be your cup of tea.
