Guerrilla Games reveals new details in Horizon: Zero Dawn trailer

Senior producer Mark Norris from Guerrilla Games reveals more info on the world of Horizon: Zero Dawn while showing us the recent E3 trailer for the PS4-exclusive.

The third-person action RPG reveals how players can seamlessly travel to locations shown in the background of the beautiful post-apocalyptic land, ranging from mountain ranges to ruins of now-ancient cities of a long-lost civilisation. He also talks about the main character – a skilled hunter called Aloy – and her composite bow, which includes elements such as machine parts which are key in the economy and for mastercrafting items.

There will be more than four weapons in the final game, with some of them having different ammo types. Aloy has the ability to better understand the machines, which also means that she can find out their weakness – the power core – which once exposed can be targeted for takedowns. Players will gain XP for defeating enemies, discovering new locations, completing quests etc, but Norris did not elaborate on the skills and perks system in the game, which will arrive sometime next year.
