Epic Games has finally showcased the full Infiltrator technical demonstration for Unreal Engine 4, run all in-engine in real-time on a “single off-the-shelf Nvidia GTX 680″ according to a tweet by Epic VP Mark Rein. The video below, which was displayed at the at the Game Developers Conference (GDC 2013) in San Francisco, showcases some amazing levels of detail, impressive dynamic lighting, excellent animation and promising effects fidelity, overall pointing towards some truly next-generation visuals.
The clip shows the infiltrator (who sports dreadlocks reminiscent of the Predator flicks) employing some fancy gadgetry (think Tom Cruise at the Kremlin in Mission Impossible 4) while sneaking into a futuristic armaments factory, though the situation quickly escalates into a fire fight when he is discovered. Escaping from the subterranean locale, our hero finds himself in a city, but before he can do much more than gape at the beautiful futuristic locale, an arachnid-like flying bot engages him in a short skirmish.
