Gamescom Debut trailer, screenshots for PS4-exclusive shoot ‘em up Resogun

Sony has unveiled Resogun a shoot ‘em up being developed exclusively for the PS4 by Housemarque (Super Stardust HD, Dead Nation), releasing a trailer as well as some screenshots for this download-only title. While the gameplay is similar to that of old school 2D shooters, what differentiates it from other title in the genre is that gravity plays a role in this world, so what goes up…..Apart from destroying nearly everything in your path using an arsenal including lasers, missiles and nova-bombs, you can also rescue survivors from distant galactic colonies trapped by the invading alien swarm; doing so will net you power ups and shields, adding a slight tactical aspect to the gameplay.

The fully fast-paced HD 60FPS title also contains co-op multiplayer for the online experience, as well as Arcade and Endless play modes for challenge; there are also numerous ships to choose from.
