Full Cinematic Intro to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Perhaps the most anticipated trailer that emerged via the 32nd Annual Golden Joystick Awards was the full cinematic intro to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and it does not disappoint.

CD Projekt Red’s action RPG has always been a very story-driven narrative-focused game, with a main strand tying the three games together, that of the White Wolf’s quest for answers searching for his former love Yennefer of Vengerberg.

While the previous clip just teased us, this three-minute long one sees witchers Geralt of Rivia and his mentor Vesemir tracking down the female sorceress, who earlier used powerful magic to escape from amidst a violent battle; as expected, the developers don’t shy away from depicting violence and gore, so fair warning to equestrians, all does not end well for some horses in a cavalry charge, while a crow is also shown killing a solider in a very…unique way.
