Fresh Just Cause 3 Screenshots, details emerge

A trio of fresh images of Avalanche Studios’ open-world action-adventure can be viewed below, along with some new info that has emerged on the world of Just Cause 3.

The screenshots, which are exclusive to GameInformer, see protagonist Rico Rodriguez free falling with nothing but ocean waters below, standing on top of a bus and shooting at enemies while a chopper rains down projectiles on him, and atop a small plane wielding an RPG (rocket propelled grenade) with a large statue of the main antagonist General Di Ravello looming in the background.

The sandbox title will see the main character returning to the Mediterranean island nation of Medici, supposedly Rico’s homeland, several years after the events of the previous games in the series. Fighting against the despot involves completing various missions across the 400 square mile map, which is divided into three main areas; players can attack enemy bases and destroy propaganda items (statues, loudspeakers etc) and free towns from the clutches of the tyrant, subsequently unlocking them as free travel points, and locations where he can save vehicles for subsequent use in supply drops.
