E3 trailer, screenshots of 2D action side-scroller Abyss Odyssey

ACE Team has been hard at work on its 2D side-scrolling action adventure, and it shows in the latest E3 trailer and screenshots of Abyss Odyssey. Set to launch digitally on 15 July on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, the downloadable game features a gorgeous art style combined with some unique characters and a rewarding combat system, as portrayed in the images below.

The clip expands on the setting, 19^th century Chile wherein the nightmares of a powerful Warlock in slumber are becoming real, due to which players must delve into the depths of the abyss and directly confront the source so as to put an end to the stream of monsters. Playable characters include Ghost Monk, Katrien and the spear-wielding Pincoya; there’s also co-op to add to the fun and replay value.
