Debut trailer for free-to-play cel-shaded shooter Phantom Army
Zombie Studios – those behind the PC/PS4 FPS Blacklight – have unveiled yet another free-to-play shooter; titled Phantom Army, this is a third-person cel-shaded title based on the Unreal Engine being developed in conjunction with Smilegate, and is set to arrive on the PC via Steam in 2014. As the video below illustrates, the game is a cover-based shooter in which players can vault over obstacles and have to choose the best cover available to ensure their survival and victory. According to Destructoid, Phantom Army also boasts of a character customisation system with rival factions.
