0Corporate Lockdown is first add-on for Alien: Isolation; arrives on 28 October
The first major piece of post-release DLC for Sega and The Creative Assembly’s first-person survival horror title will launch on 28 October; titled Corporate Lockdown, it adds three new maps to traverse in the Survivor Mode of Alien: Isolation.
The events in the add-on revolve around new playable character Seegson Executive Ransome, who attempts to escape with some decoded Nostromo data to evade the Torrens, hence making this a prequel of sorts as it illuminates what occurred on Sevastopol Station prior to the arrival of the Weyland-Yutani team.
Priced at $7.99/€6.99/£5.59, it contains three challenge maps – Severance, Scorched Earth and Loose Ends – in which players must escape the station as quickly as possible, or acquire the highest score by competing assorted side quests and discovering hidden bonus objectives. The all-new Gauntlet Mode is also introduced in the add-on, with players required to complete all of three maps successively without dying.
Four other packs – Trauma, Safe Haven, Lost Contact and The Trigger – will follow the release of Corporate Lockdown, each adding a new playable character, fresh maps and modes. All of the aforementioned content is scheduled to be released in the coming months by March 2015.
