Contrast Trailer emerges from Gamescom, shows a beautiful film-noir world
The next trailer from Gamescom is for a very pleasing little puzzler-platformer by Compulsion Games called Contrast, which transitions between a fantastic film-noir 3D world and a mysterious shadowy 2D universe set in a 1920′s vaudevillian-inspired backdrop filled with magic, performance and intrigue. The game is being published by Focus Home Interactive for the PC, Xbox 360 (XBLA) and PS3 (PSN) set to arrive in Q4 2013.
Players step into the shoes of femme fatale Dawn who can shift between the two aforementioned planes, though what makes her special is that she’s the imaginary friend of a little girl called Didi (click here to find out more about that). Gamers will have to manipulate light sources and real-world objects in the 3D world to modify the shadows and solve puzzles in the 2D one, in their quest to protect Didi and her family. The game also boasts a jazzy congruent soundtrack featuring the talented Laura Ellis (check out some of that classy music here).
