0Concept Art of Unreal Engine 4-powered sandbox survival-creation title Eden Star
Flix Interactive’s upcoming first-person scifi survival-creation game gets a bunch of fresh concept art, showing off the main character, the futuristic locales and the weapons players can utilise in Eden Star. The Unreal Engine 4-powered title intends to combine physics-based combat featuring destructible environments and dynamic free-running/parkour with resource management and freeform construction. The game is set around 2685, where the discovery of a new mineral makes possible interstellar travel and other advances in science; players will assume the role of an augmented Pioneer stationed on the Eden Star (a spaceship) whose objective is to investigate why contact has been lost with an outpost on the world of Pharus 7.
Gathering resources from around Pharus 7 by dematerialising objects, minerals, and structures via explosives, implosive upgrades or brute force will allow players to create buildings, traps and offensive structures or convert them into credits to upgrade your equipment. Combat is dynamic and free-flowing, with freedom to combine various RMD Tool actions, attacks and abilities to defeat one’s opponents; success ensures more power to the Tool. Furthermore, the use of PhysX and Apex allows for real-time damage and deformation of objects, enemies and environments; this also facilitates ingenuity in solving environmental challenges.
