Concept Art of the Monsters in 2.5D action horror sidescroller Final Exam

Mighty Rocket Studios have sent forth a bunch of sketches and concept artwork depicting some of the numerous monsters players will get to decimate in the upcoming 2.5D action horror sidescroller Final Exam. Set for release on the PC, Xbox 360 (via Xbox LIVE) and PS3 (via PSN) in September, the game resolves around four friends who get trapped in a town full of monsters when visiting their old high school, resulting in mucho mayhem and carnage involving baseball bats to rocket launchers and everything in between.

The images below show off various stages behind the creation of the game’s monsters such as the Jumper, the Hitter and the Tank, illustrating the change from a more frightening realistic portrayal to that of a cartoony look in keeping with the game’s atmosphere and theme.
