2K Games and Firaxis Games’ turn-based strategy game will arrive on the PC on 24 October, and here to prepare you for it is the cinematic intro to Civilization: Beyond Earth.

The clip illustrates how the authorities on earth choose those who would journey into space to search for a new home for humanity, and how the people finally awaken from cry-sleep following a long voyage to reach an alien planet which may just turn out to be the new abode for mankind.
