Calvino Noir is a stylish-looking adventure game set to arrive on the PC and PS4, with these images underling the film noir vibe.

Set in the 1920s/30s European criminal underworld, the game features three acts and focuses on stealth as players control multiple upgradeable characters with different skills and solve puzzles, evade guards and collect coins in this sidescroller from Calvino Noir Limited. The developers grant players the freedom to formulate their own strategy to get the job done, as they find themselves caught up in a revolutionist plot.

The characters include British army deserter Wilt whose forte is espionage and blackmail, his friend and former chemical weapon designer Arno and idealistic young Siska who lost her parents to the war. Despite the era it is set in, the developers have said that the game is inspired by elements of Deus Ex and Blade Runner – two juggernauts in their respective sectors – which makes us eager to see and know more.
