CG trailer for Halo 2: Anniversary whets our appetite for Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Amidst the swarm of media from San Diego Comic-Con was this trailer from 343 Industries showing bits of what Halo 2: Anniversary’s CGI cutscenes will look alike when Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases on 11 November for the Xbox One. While the original version had in-engine cutscenes, Halo 2: Anniversary features cinematics created by the devs with Blur, a studio renowned for their work on CGI and visual effects for feature films and game trailers and cinematics.

The trailer below shows several characters from the game, including protagonist Master Chief, Sergeant Avery Johnson, UNSC Commander Miranda Keyes, the Arbiter as well as Cortana. The gorgeous visuals should be enough to convince you that this collection – which consists of Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4 and the first episode of the live action series Halo: Nightfall – is worth purchasing if you own or intend to own an Xbox One; if not, then click here to find out more before you make the plunge.
