Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Developer Diary focuses on Dracula
Mercurysteam Producer Enric Alvarez and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series Producer Dave Cox talk about their version of Dracula that has been brought to life in the upcoming Konami action title, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. In this game, players assume the role of the traditionally evil dude, though as the developer diary indicates, the main character is not a pure bad one, as one comes to know his motives for giving up his humanity and the toll it has taken on him. At the same time, the developers feel that this version of Dracula is more human that previous depictions, especially given that seeking an end to his immortality drives him through the game.
They also talk about the character design and the excellent portrayal of Dracula by Robert Carlyle, who also voiced Gabriel Belmont in the first Lords of Shadow game.
