Capcom reveals new Strider Game at Comic-Con- Screenshots and gameplay trailer
Capcom has announced that the ultimate Ninja, Hiryu will return in a new 3D sidescrolling platformer- Strider. The game is being developed by Double Helix, and is set for launch in early 2014 on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. Strider will feature non-linear levels; explore the expansive Kazakh City as Hiryu, whose signature weapon is the high-speed Cypher. Unlock new abilities for your signature sword throughout the game including the skill to deflect bullets, or set enemies ablaze with Cypher . The game features 2.5D environments, similar to Shadow Complex.
The following expands on the story for the new Strider according to the press release:
The year is Meio: 048, on an alternate dystopian future of Earth. The whole planet suffers under the oppressive, iron-fisted rule of the mysterious and omnipotent Grand Master Meio. An expert in sabotage and assassination, Hiryu is the youngest ever recruit to attain a Special A-Class in the hellish Strider training program, and is the only man capable of achieving the mission to eliminate Grand Master Meio.
