Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Ascendance DLC arrives 31 March; trailer unleashed

Ascendance, the second major DLC for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare following the release of Havoc, arrives on 31 March for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, and here’s a trailer to confirm that. The pack will arrive later on other platforms.

It features four new multiplayer maps: Perplex is about vertical and close-quarters gameplay in a five-story modular apartment complex in Sydney, with construction drones changing apartment modules mid-match resulting in the formation of new routes and cover positions; Site 244 is where an alien spacecraft crash landed, littering debris in the vicinity of Mt. Rushmore (US); Climate takes place in a circular, climate-controlled man-made enclosure with a structure in the centre; finally, Chop Shop is set in a black market exoskeleton industrial complex ideal for fast-paced gunfights.

The pack also continues the saga of Exo Zombies, with a fresh episode called Infected in which Bill Paxton, Jon Bernthal, John Malkovich and Rose McGowan reprise their roles as four Atlas employees cutting a swathe throught he zombie horde at the outskirts of an Atlas facility. Expect new armaments and traps; the DLC will also include the OHM Werewolf custom variant in addition to the Exo Grapple ability playlist that adds the Exo Grapple ability (use it as a secondary weapon or just to reach vantage points) to multiplayer.
