Broken Sword The Serpent’s Curse Episode One hits PC on 4 December; fresh images here

Revolution Software has announced that the first episode of Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse will arrive on the PC on 4 December; the second part of the two-episode title is expected in in January 2014. Each episode will cost £9.99 individually, but will be priced for only £14.99 if purchased together. Harken to the good old days of 2D classic point and click adventures, with both George Stobbart and Nicole “Nico” Collard returning for the game, which includes locales such as Paris and London.

The plot involves our protagonists investigating the theft of a mysterious painting in an armed raid at a gallery in Paris, which leads them on a journey across the continent as they meet both old and new characters while striving to solve a conspiracy. The images below illustrate a gorgeous art style and suggest that one can expect vibrant classically drawn backgrounds.
