Bethesda confirms work on a ‘new version’ of Doom 4, Rage 2 Canned

Bethesda has confirmed development of a “new version” of Doom 4, which is planned for the next-generation of consoles. In addition Rage was not a big hit as it didn’t meet the sales expectation. Zenimax, the parent company of Bethesda and id Software have therefore decided to cancel Rage 2. While Doom 4 for PC was always assured, it would be good to see that next gen console will bring something good for this popular franchise. Doom was the classic shooter on which everyone grew upon. Too bad that Rage 2 has been cancelled. In my opinion Rage is one of my favorite games. I really liked the post apocalypse setting, shooting mechanic and even the vehicle combat was fun. Given that the game still has lot of potential for the growth, lets just hope the company decides to resurrect the franchise down-line.
