Bethesda announces Battlecry, a free-to-play multiplayer game

Bethesda has unveiled a new free-to-play multiplayer action title, Battle Cry. The game is described as fast-paced third-person, 32-player, team-based action game which features a blend of ranged and melee combat using swords, that can transform into shields. In Battle Cry you have to choose one of the five classes.

First off is Enforcer Tank-type character that wield swords which can be used as shields as well. Then you’ve got Duelist, a rouge-like class which is very agile and has ability to cloak. There’s also Tech Archer ranged combat specialist, they’ve got an orthodox looking bow which has the ability to fire several arrows at once. Brawler is a melee-oriented class that uses his robotic arm as his main weapon and finally Gadgeteer who is a support class that uses gauss guns as shown in the video below. The game looks and sounds like team fortress but without guns. Let wait and watch how it comes along. Check out the screenshots and announcement trailer below.
