0Beautiful scenic locales, grisly murder feature in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter’s Debut trailer
The first ingame trailer from the atmospheric murder mystery has finally been released, and it – for the most part – showcases some beautifully rendered environments in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, before it ends with someone’s head getting bashed in. The Unreal Engine-powered first-person horror title sees occult detective Paul Prospero investigating the disappearance of a boy called Ethan Carter, and as its trailer illustrates, will see players traversing some gorgeous looking outside locales, including forests and lakesides with some stunning maintains in the background.
However, not all is quiet and peaceful in this scenic location, as the end of the trailer suggests that one can expect some shocking twists and turns as you delve into the mysteries behind the apparently quiet and picturesque site. Developed by Warsaw-based studio The Astronauts, the game is currently on track for a Q3 release on the PC if all goes well. Meanwhile, you can peruse the first batch of screenshots at this link.
