0Battlefield Hardline by Visceral Games confirmed arriving this Fall following Info Leak
Just a few hours after members of NeoGAF put together some leaked info on what appears to be a police-themed game in the long-running FPS series, EA has shed some light on the situation by officially confirming the existence of Battlefield Hardline, stating that it will be available this Fall (though platforms have not been specified yet), and that it will be properly unveiled at the EA E3 conference on 9 June at around 12.00 PDT. We also have confirmation that this is the next project from Visceral Games, which is known for its work on the excellent scifi horror Dead Space series.
They have also launched a teaser website which mentions the above and features a single image – a piece of key art that shows SWAT transport vehicles, a guy wearing shades in a SWAT vest, couple of armed assailants outside a large bank vault, bundles of cash, a police helicopter and someone aiming a shotgun outside the window while in the passenger seat of a car.
Previously leaked info allegedly procured from Battlelog site included details on weapons, their accessories, vehicles and associated unlocks, items, awards, ranks, ribbons and game modes, with the latter supposedly introducing new ones called Blood Money and Heist. It also suggested the existence of at least four classes – Enforcer, Mechanic, Operator, Professional. None of this has been confirmed, so we shall just have to wait until 9 June to know more, unless there are more media leaks prior to that!
