0Batman: Arkham Knight slightly delayed; seven-minute gameplay trailer whets our appetite
Warner Bros has announced yet another delay to Batman: Arkham Knight; the open-world third-person action-adventure will now release worldwide on 23 June, instead of its previously announced 2 June launch date.
This is the second time the game has been postponed, as the original release window was scheduled sometime in Fall 2014. However, the powers-that-be have very graciously decided to issue a new gameplay video to help with the wait until Arkham Knight’s launch.
Titled “Officer Down”, the clip showcases seven minutes of footage from the first chapter of the game, with Batman attempting to prevent Scarecrow’s plans of detonating dangerous chemical weapons in the city. This involves conversations with Commissioner Gordon as well as Oracle (his daughter Barbara Gordon) as the main character tries to track down some bad guys, some fluid solid-looking unarmed combat and the rescue of a missing police officer, traversing the streets in the Batmobile and using its weaponry to immobilise a vehicle and interrogate its driver – an enemy solider – for information on Scarecrow.
